Craig Walker Gale

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Craig Walker Gale, also affectionately known to his friends as “Kegger”, a compassionate soul who left us on August 27, 2025. Born on November 14, 1984, in Roosevelt, UT, Craig was a beacon of creativity and generosity. He carried an infectious zest for life that radiated to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Craig, whose heart was as vast as the landscapes he loved, had an innate ability to make everyone around him feel at ease.
Craig’s creativity was not confined to his role as a cook in the restaurant industry; it was a part of his essence that permeated all aspects of his life. He was a connoisseur of experiences, often found in the wilderness, camping, golfing, or simply appreciating the majesty of nature. Craig’s adoration for the outdoors was second only to his love for his friends and family. He was a supportive pillar in the lives of many, a generous spirit who always put the welfare of his parents at the forefront.
As a sportsman and “Magic the Gathering” player, Craig was a free spirit who added a unique flavor to every gathering. His love for travel and rally man, showcased his adventurous side, while his knack for ceramics reflected his meticulous attention to detail. A regular visitor to Crystal Hot Springs, Craig had a deep connection with the natural world, often seeking solace and inspiration in its embrace. His life was a testament to the verse, “By love serve one another” (Galatians 5:13). He was a member of the Malan’s Peak Ward Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,
Craig is survived by his loving family including his parents, Rick and Karen Gale, and 3 brothers Stephen, James, and John Cameron and a niece and a nephew, Sarah and David Gale.
His life and legacy will be celebrated at the Malan’s Peak Ward on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 at 11 am. A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. Ogden on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 6-8 pm, and at the church on Wednesday, from 9:30-10:30 am.
