Leslie Michelle Bingham “Midge”

Dec 17, 2025

1955 – 2025

Our beloved mother and grandmother Leslie Michelle Bingham “Midge” of Ogden, UT passed away on Dec 14, 2025, after a brief illness. Leslie was born on Aug 3, 1955, in Ogden to William Gail Olsen and Dolores Elizabeth Thinnes. She graduated from Weber High School in 1973.

She married the love of her life Craig Bingham at St. James Catholic Church in March 1974. Always together, they loved to go on walks and hold hands. They have two children – Brian Bingham of Philadelphia PA and Shaunna Bingham (Ryan Woody) of Salt Lake City. Leslie has three grandchildren- Chase, Ari, and Ajax.

Leslie retired from the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind, where she worked tirelessly as an intervener. She loved her job and the kids she helped. She was often visited by her former school kids throughout their lives. After retirement, she lovingly cared for Craig through a long illness. She gave him devoted love, kindness, and dignity through difficult circumstances.

Midge loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. If you walked through her door she would offer you a cup of coffee, a snack, a treat. She loved to feed people and make them feel at home. She knew everyone’s birthday and always baked their favorite cookie to celebrate. She doted on her kids and grandkids. There was always a small surprise hidden in her house for Ajax.

Leslie is survived by her son, daughter, grandchildren, brothers – Greg Olsen, Charles Olsen, and Joe Bingham, and sisters – Marcia Evans, Julie Schoonmaker, Kathy Layton, and Sue Johnson. Leslie was predeceased by her mother and father, husband, brother Doug Olsen, sister Renee Dixon, and sister Rolayne Van Buskirk.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Leavitt’s Mortuary & Aultorest Memorial Park, located at 836 36th Street in Ogden.
