In Loving Memory of Orion “Dale” Quinlan

September 30, 1934 December 18, 2025

Orion “Dale” Quinlan, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on December 18, 2025, surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on September 30, 1934, in American Falls, Idaho. He attended Bear River High School, where the values of hard work and integrity that would guide his life were first shaped.

A man of deep faith, Dale was very active in his church throughout his life, faithfully serving in multiple bishoprics. His devotion to God, family, and community was evident in the quiet, steady way he served others and showed love.

On March 19, 1954, Dale married the love of his life, Donna Rae Quinlan, in the Logan Utah Temple. In Donna, he not only found his eternal companion but also his best friend and beloved jitterbug partner. Their marriage was a beautiful example of enduring love, laughter, partnership, and devotion, and together they built a life centered on faith, family, and service.

Dale proudly served his country in the military, reflecting his strong sense of patriotism, responsibility, and service.

Following his military service, Dale dedicated 40 years working at Hill Air Force Base. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Weber State University and later completed his master’s degree at California State College.

After his years of civil service, Dale became a realtor, eventually opening his own agency, Quinn Realty, where he served as a broker. He was known for his honesty, professionalism, and genuine care for the people he worked with. Dale had a deep love for words-he enjoyed writing poetry and creative pieces, and he delighted in sharing memories and reflections that brought laughter, insight, and connection. He also enjoyed playing the banjo, a talent that brought joy and music to those around him.

Dale was a devoted father to Mike Quinlan, Julie Quinlan, Kathy (Kirk) Parkinson, and Nancy (Chad) Spencer. His greatest joy was his family, especially his role as grandfather and great-grandfather. He is lovingly remembered by his 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, with one more great-grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters, Nina and LeGene; and his beloved granddaughter, Lindsey.

Dale Quinlan lived a life of quiet strength, unwavering faith, and deep love for those around him. His legacy will continue through the generations he leaves behind and the many lives he touched through his kindness, wisdom, faithful example, and memories that will be cherished for years to come. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to the compassionate hospice team at Aspen Ridge, with particular gratitude to Ashlee, Marzena, and Leslie for their kindness, dedication, and loving care during Dale’s final days.
