Randy graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1971 and later earned an associate’s degree from Weber State College. He worked 39 years for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Randy married Laura Carruth on June 22, 1978, in the Ogden Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They raised five children.

Randy served as a young missionary in the Italy Rome Mission and as a senior missionary in Ogden with Laura. Randy loves the Lord, Jesus Christ, and eagerly awaited His second coming. We are confident Dad will get to witness this event from a different perspective.

Randy is survived by his wife, Laura; their children, Mike (Becky) Browne, Amy (Brett) Winfrey, Lisa (Jeremiah) Peterson, Christie (Jacob) Carroll, and Kyle (Lori) Browne; 16 grandchildren; one sister, Carolee (Cameron) Checketts; and siblings-in-law John (Susan) Carruth, Barbara (Gene) Aaberg, Kelley (Garth) Martin, and Frank (Shayne) Nolden.

He now joins his parents, Walter and Sharlene Browne; his siblings, Michael, Rickey, and Karen; and his granddaughter, Marinda, in the Spirit World.

Viewings will be Friday, Feb. 21, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, and Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the Shoreline Ridge Ward, 300 Iowa Ave., Ogden. Celebration of Randy’s life will be Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025 at 11 a.m., at the Shoreline Ridge Ward. Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
