Scott Lance Richards Sep 15, 1958 —­ Dec 23, 2024

Scott Lance Richards passed away in the early morning hours of Dec 23 from colon cancer. Scott was born in Ogden, Ut to parents Mary Lou Moffat and Carl Eugene Richards. He graduated from Roy High school in 1977 and later, WSU with a BIS degree. He served 3 years in the US Army and then worked at Hill AFB for 37 years, retiring in 2022. He married Pamela Lee Moon in 1978 and they had 2 children; they were later divorced. He married Lori Hammer in 1988 and together they raised their blended family. Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, a niece, a nephew, and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is survived by his wife Lori, daughter Kamie (Forrest) Vaux, son KC Richards, step-son Travis (Kim) Bennett, step-son Justin (Lisa) Bennett, 4 grandchildren, 2½ great-grandchildren, siblings Kevin Wallin, and Tana Dominguez Pontarelli. The family will host a Celebration of Life Saturday January 18, 2025, 4-6 pm at Leavitt’s Mortuary, 836 36th St, Ogden Ut 84405. The family is adopting a tree in the Ogden Botanical Gardens Arboretum in Scott’s honor. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity in Scott’s honor. The family wishes to thank the first responders, and the ER and ICU staff at Mckay-Dee hospital who did everything they could for Scott.
