William “Bill” Mayfield

March 6, 1941 – June 25, 2025

Eagar — William “Bill” Mayfield returned to his Heavenly Father on 06/25/2025. Bill had valiantly fought cancer multiple times in his life. He was born to Vernon Hess Mayfield and Melba (Sparks) Mayfield on 3/06/1941 along with a twin sister, Betty. He was raised in Weber and Davis Counties. For the past many years he has lived in Eagar, Arizona. A cowboy to the core. A farrier by trade, an incredible horseman, a wonderful father and friend to many. He married Linda Carol Lay Mayfield (deceased) in 1958. They had three children together, William Jed Mayfield (deceased), Lisa (Victor Yañez) Mayfield, Wayne Todd Mayfield. In 1969 he married Reva Searle Widdison Mayfield (deceased) They had two children, Angela (Mark) Saunders, Kami Fawn Mayfield. He loved and helped to raise Kevin J. Widdison (deceased) and Karen Widdison Jones (David) Brandon. Bill moved to Eagar, Az in 2002. He married Georgianna J. Crowther in 2019. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, all of his siblings, Betty Buckmaster, Margee Bambrough Thompson, Kathy Larkins, Robert (Bob) Mayfield and Gary Wade. His son, Wm. Jed Mayfield, stepson Kevin J. Widdison. A grandson, Tanner Jones and a great grandson Brandon Lukas Mayfield. In addition to his loving wife and surviving children, he leaves behind many adored grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Farmington Cemetery, Saturday, 7/26/2025 at 11:00 AM. Bill loved and rescued many animals.
