Roger Douglas Lee

1945 – 2025
Roger Douglas Lee, 80, passed away June 30, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born March 4, 1945, in Grand Island, Nebraska, Roger was the youngest of five boys born to George and Melba Lee. He grew up in Ogden, Utah, graduated from Ogden High in 1963, and served a mission in Sao Paulo, Brazil for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He married Gloria Salerno, his eternal companion, in the Salt Lake City Temple on March 18, 1970.
Roger honorably served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a passionate educator and lifelong learner, earning multiple degrees and teaching at several colleges throughout Utah. He was known for his enthusiasm, humor, and “Quote of the Day.”
A devoted family man and faithful member of the church, Roger found joy in music, travel, and time spent at Bear Lake with his children and grandchildren. He was known for his love of people, sense of adventure, and unwavering testimony.
He is survived by his wife Gloria, five children, 17 grandchildren, and was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and a grandson.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 8, at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church, 3267 W 700 S, Syracuse, UT. Viewings: Monday, July 7 (68 p.m.) at Lindquist Mortuary, and Tuesday, July 8 (9:3010:30 a.m.) before the funeral. Condolences may be shared on lindquistmortuary.com.
