Blaine Stratford Taggart
February 3, 1932 — July 3, 2025
Blaine Stratford Taggart, 93, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2025. Born February 3, 1932, in Ogden, Utah, Blaine was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He married his sweetheart, Susanna Allen, on March 12, 1954, in the Salt Lake Temple. They recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. Together, they raised six children and built a life filled with faith, service, and adventure.
A proud U.S. Marine, Blaine later earned a Marketing degree from the University of Utah and worked in sales before owning Taco Time franchises in Salt Lake and Clearfield. He loved boating, camping, and playing games with his large and beloved posterity.
He is survived by his wife Susanna; children Kristi (Kent) Bush, Julie (Brent) Rabe, Nate (Carolee) Taggart, Karin (Eric) Adams, and Matt (Merideth) Taggart; 28 grandchildren; and 37 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Ann (David) Geary, parents, brothers, and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Syracuse Utah South Stake Center (3065 S Bluff Rd). A viewing will be held prior from 9:30-10:30 a.m., and on Friday, July 11 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary, 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse UT.
