Everett John Alberts

Everett John Alberts, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 4, 2025. Everett was born in Ogden, Utah, on May 31, 1940, to John and Hendrina Evertsen Alberts. He spent his early years in Santa Cruz, California, before moving back to Ogden at age 14, where he attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ben Lomond High School.
Following his graduation, Everett proudly served his country in the Navy, where he was trained on radio systems and flew Early Warning Systems from Newfoundland to the Azores. After five years of service, he returned home and earned a degree from Weber State.
Everett was a dedicated telecommunications engineer whose career took him and his family across the country. After marrying his love, Jolene Faulkner, in the Logan Temple in 1964, his career led them to live in Milwaukee, WI; Los Angeles, CA; Elko, NV; Washington D.C., where he received a Masters Degree in Telecommunications Engineering at George Washington University; Denver, CO; and Jefferson City, MO. They were blessed with three daughters: Corey Mae Adams, Cindy Lynee Schmidt, and Chris Erin Arbon. Despite a demanding career, Everett always made time for his family, and he deeply cherished the travels they shared together. His love for his family, his faith, and his dedication to his career were defining aspects of his life.
Everett was preceded in death by his parents John and Hendrina Alberts and 2 grandsons.
He is survived by his wife and daughters and their families (except 2 grandsons) a foster Navajo daughter Susie Manning and her 3 children, 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters Penny Mechem, Paula Gallegos, Teri Neria, and a brother Tom Edwards.
A Viewing will be held in his honor on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Perry Stake Center, located at 685 West 2250 South, Perry, Utah. A Graveside service will follow on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the Ogden City Cemetery, located at 1875 Monroe Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84401.
