Pauline D. Capener, 89, passed away peacefully on July 25, 2025. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was born on November 5, 1935, in the small town of Riverside, Utah, to Jesse and Vesta Bigler Davis. Pauline was the youngest of eight children. She was the Wheat and Beet Queen. Pauline married the love of her life, Robert Lee Capener, on September 23, 1955, in the Logan, Utah Temple. Her work life included a few years at IRS, helping with registration at Weber State College for many years and writing articles about businesses for publications. Pauline enjoyed writing poetry, studying the gospel, going to Yellowstone and spending time at their cabin looking over Henry’s Lake. Her family was the most important thing. She is survived by her Children: Robin (Phil), Mark (Sally), Mike (Leslie), Scott and Suzanne; 16 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and a host of family and friends with numerous to come. Pauline was preceded in death by her parents and Husband, Bob; children: Sharrie and Lance; Grandchildren: Kelsey, Kilee, and Andrea; her siblings: Lawrence, Roy, Melva, Ruth, Donald, Tony and Alton. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 11a.m. at the Highland Ward bldg. at 1314 27th Street, Ogden, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held at the church on Thursday night from 6 to 8 p.m. and prior to the funeral from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Following the funeral, Pauline will be laid to rest next to her beloved Bob, in the Riverside Cemetery, 5275 West 15400 North, Riverside, Utah. Services entrusted to Myers Ogden Mortuary.
