Juan A. Vigil (John), age 79 of Ogden, Utah passed away of natural causes on May 24, 2025, in Ogden. He was born September 8, 1945 in Ogden, Utah to father, Juan Vigil, and mother, Erinella Chacon Vigil. He was the second youngest of 11 children.

He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School and joined the United States Air Force. He made the Air Force his career with 20 years of service and retired. He then went to work at Hill Air Force Base, later retiring with 23 years of service.

He married Larna May Long on August 5, 1987. They were married for 37 1/2 happy years.

Juan is survived by his wife, Larna Vigil of Ogden, Utah, brothers; Bob Vigil and Charlie (Joan) Vigil, and sister, Mela Cortez. Son, Christopher (Kelly) Vigil, daughter, Monica (Derek) Bailes, 3 stepdaughters Sandra Robley, Melinda Long, and Jeana Alexander, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Pete, Joe, Ben, Fred, sisters, Sandy Hall and Julia Garcia, and granddaughter, Aubrey.

A memorial service gathering for Juan will be held at the Evergreen Memorial Park on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 11:00 AM; 100 N. Monroe Blvd. Ogden, Utah 84404.
