Clarence “Herk” Weimer

Jun 17, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Clarence “Herk” Weimer on June 13, 2025 at the age of 93.

Born on July 29, 1931, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to Clarence and Nellie Weimer, Herk proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for over 24 years, retiring in 1976. He married Sarah Margaret Vick in 1955, and they shared 70 loving years together.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons Edwin Victor and Robert John; and son-in-law Doug Anderson Sr., husband of their late daughter Brenda Sue. Herk also leaves behind grandchildren Jennifer Clark (Wayne), Doug Anderson Jr. (Jo Ann), Sarah Randall (Darrin), Jessie Valtakis (Alex), Mandy Anderson, Leandra Weimer, and Matthew Weimer, along with 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister, his daughter Brenda Sue, his son-in-law Jimi Pinko, and two grandchildren.

A 33rd Degree Master Mason for 68 years, Herk was a devoted member of Arlington Masonic Lodge #438 and Beth Araba OES #24 (UT). He held leadership roles in Job’s Daughters International, York Rite, and the White Shrine of Jerusalem, The Order of Amaranth and was a life member of the Knights Templar Eye Foundation.

Clarence “Herk” Weimer will be remembered for his love of family, dedicated military service, and lifelong commitment to his Masonic communities. He also loved a good TV show and a well-kept lawn — and now that he’s gone, the TV will never be quite in focus, and a few more weeds are sure to pop up.

Services will be held at the First United Methodist Church 1339 W 400 N Marriott-Slaterville, UT on Saturday June 21, 2025 at 1pm. He will be buried in Albany, Ga on a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church in Marriott-Slaterville, Utah.
