Pamela Adel Evertsen Hanni

Pamela Adel Evertsen Hanni, age 72, passed away following complications from surgery on June 17, 2025, in Ogden, Utah, surrounded by her loving husband and daughters.
Pam was born on February 3, 1953, in Ogden, Utah, to Jack and Lila Evertsen. She married her eternal companion, Craig Hanni, in the Ogden Utah Temple on November 29, 1973, and together they built a life filled with faith and family.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Pam dedicated her life to serving others. She especially loved her ward family, where she made lifelong friends and found joy in her callings, including serving as a Primary teacher and sharing her voice in the ward choir. Pam also served as the Primary president and served in the Primary organization for over 20 years, touching the lives of countless children with her love and example. Her final calling was as a member of the ward history committee, where she faithfully helped preserve the legacy of her beloved ward. Her testimony of the Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering and a guiding light throughout her life.
In both her personal and professional life, Pam was a source of comfort and care. As a licensed massage therapist, she blessed many with her “Hanni’s” healing hands and compassionate heart. Her work was an extension of her desire to uplift and serve others–bringing relief, peace, and healing to those in need.
Pam’s greatest joy was her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who lived for the moments spent surrounded by those she loved most. Her contagious laugh, radiant smile, and kind, gentle spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her. She had a remarkable ability to lift and comfort others and was a loyal friend to many.
Pam adored her grandchildren and was a gentle and nurturing presence in her grandchildren’s lives. She cherished family traditions, game nights, holidays, and quiet everyday moments. She also treasured time with her sisters, relishing in laughter, stories, and sisterly love that spanned decades.
Pam is survived by her eternal companion, Craig Hanni, and their three daughters: Heather (Brad) Hardy, Malinda (Ryan) Merrill, and Alison (Jonathan) Ochsenbein. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Tayla May (Austin) Rich, Porter Merrill, Tate Merrill, Mylee Merrill, Maggie Merrill, Collin Ochsenbein, Reese Ochsenbein, Dax Ochsenbein, and Stevie May Rich. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lila Evertsen, and her three brothers, Lyle, Gary, and Doug Evertsen.
