David Curtis Wilson

Jun 23, 2025

August 20, 1951 to June 18, 2025

After a fierce battle with cancer, Dave returned home to his Heavenly Father to be reunited with family and friends that had passed on before him. He was surrounded by those he loved before he passed. He was an example to all and a hero to many.

Dave was born on August 20, 1951, in Salt Lake City, to Henry Bytheway Wilson and Wynona Curtis Wilson. He was the seventh of eight children born into a very loving family.

Dave leaves behind his beautiful wife and sweetheart, Susan. They were married for 50 wonderful years as of January 2025. They have resided in West Haven for 46 years. Dave loved his family; he loved to fish as evidenced by his “one more cast” saying. You could always find him in his garden, perfecting vegetables and taking care of all things garden. He loved to share the produce with neighbors and family.

Dave’s love for his Father in Heaven and his Savior shaped his entire life. He served faithfully in many church positions and was continually an example of what it meant to be Christlike. Even in his professional life, he taught by example and was the perfect example of calm and humility. He served the people of Weber County for over 30 years as an attorney.

The family wishes to express gratitude to those who cared for him at McKay Dee Hospital and while on Hospice. The staff treated Dad as though he were family. Thanks to the many friends and neighbors for all the love and service endlessly provided by them. They continue to buoy us up during this very difficult time. There are no words to express the love we have for you.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (West Haven), Joshua and Stephanie Wilson (Riverdale), Adolfo and Jennifer Deleon (Fort Mill, S.C.) Jacob and Abby Wilson (Provo), Taz and Aimee Cherry (South Ogden), Matthew and Emilee Wilson (Clinton), Spencer and Zina Wilson (Salt Lake City), Kristine Wilson (West Haven), 24 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, with a third on the way. He was preceded by his parents, Henry B. Wilson and Wynonna C Wilson, brothers Dennis & Mel Wilson, and daughter Rebecca Kippen.

A viewing will be held at Myers Mortuary located at 845 Washington Blvd. in Ogden on Thursday, June 26 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the Meetinghouse located at 2333 South 2700 West in West Haven at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 27, with a viewing held prior from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, 100 Monroe Blvd.
