Laura married Ashley “Erne” Chaplin on November 23, 1974 in Roy, Utah. They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple.

Laura is survived by her husband, Erne; their wonderful Chihuahua, Star; her brothers, Blaine and Paul Lutz; and four nieces and four nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, one sister, and both sets of grandparents.

Funeral services will be held March 15, 2025 at the Heritage Ward, 725 South 200 East, Layton, Utah, at 12:00 p.m., with a viewing prior from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park on March 18, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
