Norma Fay Linder, a cherished matriarch and beacon of warmth in her community, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2025, at the age of 86 in North Ogden, just a stone’s throw from where her story began in Ogden on November 4, 1938. Norma’s life was a tapestry of devotion to her family, friends, and the simple joys that each day brought.
Norma’s journey was one marked by love and companionship, having been married to the late Leroy Harold Linder, with whom she built a life filled with laughter and shared dreams. Though Leroy and their sons, James Andy Linder and Leroy Harold Linder, preceded her in death, Norma’s legacy continues through her beloved son, Richard Lee Linder, her eight grandchildren, and her 27 great-grandchildren, who will carry forward her spirit of kindness and resilience.
Throughout her life, Norma was a pillar of strength and generosity, working at The Ogden Deseret Industries where she not only contributed to her community but also forged lasting friendships. Her colleagues remember her as a woman of unwavering integrity and infectious enthusiasm.
At home, Norma was the quintessential homemaker, taking pride in creating a warm and welcoming space for all who entered. Her love for yard work was evident in the vibrant flowers that adorned her garden, a testament to her nurturing touch. Norma’s talents extended to sewing, a craft she approached with precision and creativity, and to cooking, where she conjured up meals that were both comforting and delicious, much to the delight of her family and friends.
Norma Fay Linder’s life was a beautiful reflection of the things she held dear, and her memory will be treasured by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her passing leaves a void that will be felt deeply, but her influence will continue to bloom in the lives of those she touched.
