Donald Dean Moore
Donald Dean Moore was born May 10, 1935 in Wood River, NE to Ray S. Moore and Alice Franzen Moore, he passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his loved ones on Sunday, May 4, 2025.
Dad married our mom Lois Liddell on May 27, 1955 in Laramie, Wyoming. They had five kids, Kurt, Keri, Kraig, Kellie and Kristen. They later divorced. He married Sherry Avondet Wright on Nov. 10, 2015 in Ogden, UT.
Dad loved the outdoors, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going for rides. Dads true passion was golfing. After many years of working for others, dad took a bold step and with Bill Smith started Star Roofing, one of the largest Commercial Roofing companies in Utah. Dad later started Carbon Fiber Products, a golf shaft making company which became a successful business for many years. After retiring dad worked at Schneiters’ Riverside Golf Course for 25 years. Dad really looked forward to Wednesday breakfast with his sons and brother Roger.
A huge thank you to Tom Stanger for taking such good care of Dad on and off the golf course. You were a true friend.
Dad is preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy Connell, brother Robert (Bob) and daughter-in-law Lori Moore.
He is survived by his wife Sherry Wright, his children Kurt (Lori) Moore, Keri Mathieu, Kraig (Toni) Moore, Kellie (Herschel) Nay and Kristen Moore, his bonus Wright children Vicki, Steve (Heather), Alan (Becky), Shelly (Rick) and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Sherry, we love and appreciate you more than you’ll ever know.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
