Carolyn Florence Muir Hansen

Leaving earthly classroom for heaven’s mission call, Carolyn Muir Hansen passed away Monday, May 5, 2025.

Carolyn was born in Logan, Utah, September 23, 1946, and spent growing up years in Idaho with her parents, Eddis and Lorraine Muir and siblings Sharon, Dal, Ray, Renae and Rena. She graduated from Gooding High School and Stevens-Henager Business College.

She worked for several insurance companies in the state of Utah. She loved to cook at Kitchen Needs and finally retired from Fixed Automotive in 2024 as assistant salesman of blinker and headlight fluids. She was employee of the year many times and specialized in tire tread design and pattern appreciation.

She met her eternal soul mate Leslie Owen Hansen on a blind date, and they reared six great children, Kari (deceased), Sp. Reed Smith, Tyarra (Scott) Singleton, Soncerae Lynn Hansen (deceased), Sherae (Greg) Christensen, Travis (Sarah Cheney) Hansen and Lance (Rachel Fuhriman) Hansen. She was blessed with 16 perfect grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Her husband Les passed away in 1997 and her oldest grandson Trevyn passed away in 2019.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the 3 Mile Creek Ward, 1290 West 2950 South, Perry, Utah. Viewings will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025, from 6-8 p.m. at the church and prior to the service on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. also at the church. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery.
