Sean Adam Russell

1977 – 2025
The world is a little dimmer with the passing of Sean Adam Russell, who left us on Friday, May 2, 2025, at his home in Roy, Utah. Born on October 24, 1977, in Ogden, Utah, to Robert Charles Russell and Angela Newey Russell, Sean was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he carried his faith with quiet strength throughout his life. He was briefly married and later divorced.
Sean was a proud graduate of Roy High School, where he excelled academically, earning the President’s Award for Educational Excellence. He was a talented baseball player and a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan. His professional journey led him to the automotive industry, where he thrived as a Service Writer and Parts Specialist. Known for his expertise, customers sought him out by name, trusting his vast knowledge and dedication to helping others. His humor, strong work ethic, and generosity made him a cherished colleague and friend.
Sean had an unwavering passion for sports, movies, video games, politics, and entertainment, but above all, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family–especially his cherished nephews, Jackson and Alec. They adored their uncle and treasured every moment with him. Sean was a devoted son to his mother, Angela, and shared a lifelong, unbreakable bond with his brother, Derrek. He was a kind and generous soul, giving to others without hesitation, always willing to help. His family will miss him more than words can express.
Sean is survived by his mother, Angela (Roy), his brother, Derrek (West Point), and his nephews, Jackson (South Weber) and Alec (Anchorage, Alaska). He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. He spent his final moments surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to CNS Home Health & Hospice for their compassionate care, with special thanks to Andrea from CNS for her kindness and dedication to Sean. The family would also like to express their appreciation to Sean’s doctor, Robert Gertge.
A private service will be held for close family, with a Celebration of Life to follow at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.providentfuneralhome.com.
