Jerry H. Isaacson

1942 – 2025
Jerry H. Isaacson, 82, passed away at home in North Ogden, UT, on May 8, 2025. He was born on December 2, 1942 in Ogden, UT to Virginia LuJean (Hull) and Elmer Andrew Isaacson. He graduated from Weber High School and the University of Utah. Jerry also served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Finland.
He married Marja Kaarina Ojala on August 5, 1966 in the Logan Temple. They had 5 children, Michael (Shira), Monica Voss (Derrick), Anneli, David (Ginger), and Katrina Clark (Josh). They raised their family in Kaysville, UT in a house they built with their own hands.
Jerry was a Civil Engineer for Utah Power & Light. He also owned and operated his own engineering firm, Isaacson Engineering & Surveying. His professional work brought him much joy as he got paid to travel, hike, and explore the mountains and countryside. He loved being outdoors and was an avid hiker.
After retirement, Jerry served another mission with his wife to Kennewick, WA and was a worker in the Bountiful Temple. He was faithful to his church, serving in many callings. He also volunteered to be on the trail patrol at Antelope Island.
Jerry is survived by his beloved Kaarina. He was truly devoted to her and grateful for her dedicated service to him. He is survived by all five of his children and 13 grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Judy Cummings, Janet Howard (Richard), Ron (Kimberly), and Jeff (Jana). He was preceded in death by his loving parents, LuJean and Elmer, and a brother-in-law Alan Cummings.
