Richard (Dick) Albert Coleman

May 16, 2025

Richard (Dick) Albert Coleman passed away peacefully surrounded by his precious family on May 11, 2025.

Born on March 28, 1946 to Milton and Norma (Larkin) in Ogden, UT he was the first of the three Coleman children.

On October 23, 1964 he married Theresa Ann Junk and had three amazing daughters. Tamari (Fred Bingham), Sheri (Steve Locher) and Mandy (Steve Peterson). They were later divorced.

On February 10, 1995 he married Kathleen (Kate) Falkner and gained two more loving daughters. Jodi (Arron Oglesby) and Katie (Todd Mitchell).

Together they combined a large family with eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

After graduating from Weber High in 1964, he was employed at HAFB certified in Aircraft Instrument Repair, retiring in 2003.

Dick was so very loved by his family and his many, many friends. He spent many years hunting and fishing in the Boulder Mountain areas of southern Utah with family and friends. He learned to scuba dive, enjoyed Motorcycle riding, golfing, and spent endless summers at Lake Powell. Dick loved his home, and he enjoyed relaxing by the pool with a good Bloody Mary. As a father he was considered the best girl dad ever. He endured 5 daughters, without a hitch. He loved a good swimming pool race, spent countless hours baiting hooks and warning us to watch our back casts, fixing cars, and when you needed a good “girl” cry and solid advice he would put on a pot of coffee and pull up a chair at the kitchen counter. He was the rock of the family, and you could always, always depend on him.

Dick is survived by his wife Kathleen, his mother Norma Coleman, daughters Sheri (Steve) Locher, Amanda (Steve) Peterson, Jodi (Arron) Oglesby, and Katie (Todd Mitchell) Worthen, sister Karen (Terry) Zuech, and brother Randy (Carol) Coleman, eight grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Milton Coleman, and daughter and son in law Tamari and Fred Bingham.

An open house to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday May 21, 2025 from 10:00-11:30 am at Myers Mortuary 845 Washington Blvd Ogden Utah 84404.
