Nathan Earl Blanchard

Nov 19, 2025

Nathan Earl Blanchard June 5, 1977 – November 14, 2025 Nathan Earl Blanchard was born on June 5, 1977, in Ogden, UT to Kenneth Dale Blanchard and Joan Christensen Blanchard. He passed away in Nibley, UT, November 14, 2025, at the age of 48 from the ravages of Leukemia with his family by his side. When Nate was two, his father took the family on a temporary work assignment to Madrid, Spain. The marble floors were hard on a little boy learning to walk. He was an energetic and rambunctious child, always into something. Nate grew up in Eden, UT, playing football, riding horses and working on his grandparents’ farm where he learned a strong work ethic, the value of a hard day’s work, and a sense of accomplishment. As he grew older, he matured into a young man that made his family proud. He attended Ogden Valley schools and graduated from Weber High School. On September 18, 1999, he married Jamie Green, who he later divorced. They were blessed with two children that he loved very much. On June 12, 2023, he married the love of his life, Charlotte VanLare, who brought four children to the family. He loved them and the joy of their combined family. Family was everything to him and he cherished the time he shared with his loved ones and his wife. Nate and Charlotte share an eternal love and friendship that he didn’t think was possible. Char stood by his side through the struggles of this awful disease. Nate was a man of few words, a strong character, loyal, and loved by so many. He would like to be remembered as a helper, and for his family; especially his children and grandchildren to always remember to use God as your compass. A lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he relied on the love of the Lord through this hard time in his life. Nathan is survived by his mother, his loving wife Char, and children, Austin James Blanchard, Emily Nicole Blanchard; bonus children Dillon Gooch (Cassandra), Bree’Anna Gooch (Julian), Kyle Gooch (Makia), Avery Donaghey (Karissa), and grandchildren, Noah, Scarlette, and Aria, Sisters Yvonne Michelle Bouwman (Jim), Jennifer Christine Bench (Jim), and brothers Matthew Kenneth and Adam Hardy (Chanelle) Blanchard. Preceding him in death is his father and infant twin brothers David Ryan and Richard Tyler Blanchard. A viewing will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 6-8 pm at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah. Family and friends may gather on Saturday, November 22, 2025, 10-10:45 am, also at Myers Mortuary, immediately followed by the funeral service at 11 am.
