He passed away at the Sunridge Assisted Living in the Memory Care Unit on November 16, 2025.

He graduated from Ogden High in 1956.

D.L. married the love of his life Jane Laree Newman on March 26, 1960. They were married for 65 years, spending them all in Roy, Utah.

Dad worked as a Tool Engineer. He was honest and a very hard worker.

D.L. is survived by his loving wife, Jane Thurman and children DeLynne Thompson (Robin), Brandon Thurman (Kim), 10 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and one great-great- granddaughter, sister Pamla Donoviel (Dennis) and sister in-law Theola Spackman. He was preceded in death by his daughter Kristi Buenviaje (Joe) and grandson Cory Thompson.

As per D.L.’s request a graveside service was held on Thursday, November 20, 2025. He was buried in the Roy City Cemetery.
