Earl Everett Green
Earl Everett Green, son of Edward Everett Green and Lulu Mabel Spurgeon Green died surrounded by his children Saturday, November 15, 2025. Earl was born January 26, 1944, in Ogden, Utah. He attended Weber State College and graduated from the University of Utah in 1970 with a degree in Sociology, Urban Studies. He married Lois Kent October 8, 1970, in the Salt Lake Temple. Together they had six children.
Throughout his life, Earl operated a general contracting business beginning in 1973, worked for Home Depot, and taught Building Construction and Social Studies for the Weber School District, retiring in 2001. He then taught Technology for the Davis School District and classes for Clearfield Job Corps. Throughout his teaching, he continued to do small contracting jobs until May 2018. Earl was dedicated to his teaching career and cared deeply for his students. He taught his home construction students the value of work and taught them skills that helped many create successful companies in the construction industry. Many of his students kept in contact with him well after they graduated high school, whether he gave them jobs, attended their mission farewells, went to their weddings or checked in to see how things were going in their lives.
Earl is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Ireland and has held many different callings throughout his life. One of Earl’s biggest desires was to have a family and lots of kids. Earl strived to be the best dad and grandfather he could be. He tried to be involved in his family’s lives as much as was possible and never missed a chance to brag about his four boys. He was especially close to his two daughters and their children. They cherish every moment they had with him. He was able to return to his mission home last year in Ireland, which was a highlight of his life. We will forever cherish the memories made with him and the laughs we had from his sense of humor. The funny faces, cards, texts, and visits will be in our memories for a lifetime. We love you Dad and will miss you more than you know.
Earl is survived by his wife, Lois, his children, Tracie (Randall) Wilde, Alan Green, Sean (Holli) Green, Troy (Victoria) Green, Kevin (Corinne) Green, and Erin (Jared) Clawson, his 21 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and his little dog BJ. Earl felt that leaving this mortal life ought to be a time of celebration. Not a time for grief and sorrow. He was very determined that his wishes for a cremation be honored and that he be buried with his beloved dog, Bracken who died November 8, 2013. A private family viewing will be held at Meyer’s Mortuary in Ogden, Utah, Saturday, November 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, Earl has requested donations be made to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Missionary Fund.
