Neil Mulhall

Oct 20, 2025

March 23, 1944 – September 29, 2025

Neil Edward Mulhall passed away on September 29, 2025. He was born in Ogden, Utah to Edward and Elizabeth Mulhall on March 23, 1944. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and most recently, his wife of 59 years, Kaylynn. He was her kind and loving primary caregiver for the last 3 years of her life. She passed away earlier this year, and Dad followed just months later. Neil and Kaylynn were married in 1966. They had two children, Michael (Kristin) and Lynn (Deena). He had one sibling, a brother named Brian who grew up in Ogden with many other lifelong friends. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father when he was young. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1962. He was captain of the Ogden HS bowling team and placed 2nd as an individual in a national bowling tournament his senior year. He loved to bowl and would travel to Reno for regional and national bowling tournaments and played in leagues for many years. He also loved boating, water skiing, camping, traveling, attending popular concerts and later in life he enjoyed golfing and spending time with his lucky grandsons (Connor, Zach, Ty, Luke and Samuel). He and Mom would live vicariously through their extracurriculars just like all proud grandparents would. He served his country in the U.S. Army and achieved the rank of Sgt. He accomplished Expert Marksmanship each year while serving in the reserves for over 10 years. He made many more friends and enjoyed working for the Post Office in the Ogden area until 2002 when he retired after 38 years of service. He dabbled in Real Estate and Advertising, but his heart was always with the US Postal Service because of the bonds he made with close friends and a special group who made time for annual fishing trips. Anyone who knew Neil would genuinely and confidently say, “he’s a good man.” He will be missed by many. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd, Ogden, UT.
