Beppie Lambertina Penman

Oct 30, 2025

Beppie Lambertina Penman passed away Oct 26, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10, 1945, in Dordrecht, Holland to Nicolaas Bellaart and Lambertina VanEijnsbergen. Her family immigrated from the Netherlands on January 16, 1957 to the United States in search of a better life. She worked hard to become a United State Citizen and was very proud of when she was granted citizenship. She loved this country and was very patriotic.

Her family lived on Wall Avenue after arriving in Utah and she attended Ogden City schools. She often helped her family clean office buildings and their mode of transportation was walking as they had no car.

She met dad while dancing at the Hitching Post. They loved to go dancing before they were married. She married Edward Penman on February 21, 1966 in Elko, Nevada. They were married for 59 years. They had four kids Nicholaas, Chad, Tina, and Michelle.

She worked at various jobs throughout her life, always enjoying the interaction with people. She supported our dad in western horse riding club, helping time many events. She was an avid bowler spending many years bowling with our dad on various bowling leagues and going to many tournaments with friends. She spent years going to the Clearfield Aquatic Center where she met many cherished friends.

She loved to play Bunko and played with the same group for over 20 years. She loved all the laughs she shared with them. She enjoyed camping with her family and friends. She was known for having the biggest campfire, which would become known as the “Beppie fire”. Beppie and Ed were Jazz ticket season holders for 10 years and enjoyed all the friendships they made while attending Jazz games.

She loved going to the senior center and playing cards with the ladies, also known as “Think Tuesday”. She always made sure not to schedule any appointments on that day because she didn’t want to miss seeing her friends.

She was an avid reader and always had books to read. She also loved to knit and created many beautiful afghans. Her and dad loved to travel later in life and went on many cruises and cross country trips along with ATV rides with friends.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a testimony of the gospel and her savior. She loved being a visiting teacher. She cherished all the times she got to go visit the sisters she was assigned to. She also loved getting the visits from her own visiting teachers.

She is survived by her loving husband Ed and her three children, Chad (Shawnette) Penman, Tina (Kevin) Bailey, Michelle (Ladd) Kendall. Five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and sister Willy Sorensen. She was preceded in death by her parents Nicolaas Bellart and Lambertina VanEijnsbergen, son Nicolaas Penman, sisters Ariet Bellaart, Trudy Hettenbach, and Yvonne Bellaart.

Mom had an unwavering love for her family. Her greatest joy was being able to celebrate with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Our family would like to express our gratitude to Dr. Wintle and his nurse Shelly. They were always so compassionate to our mom.
