Michael Hugh Sperry
June 19, 1948 — October 21, 2025
Michael Hugh Sperry “Mike” passed away peacefully but unexpectedly October 21, 2025, in Ogden, Utah with his daughter by his side. He was born June 19, 1948, in Ogden, Utah to Hugh and Irene Sperry. Growing up in Sunset, Utah, he graduated from Clearfield High School class of 1966 and served in the Navy.
Mike worked at Defense Depot Ogden before retiring from Hill Air Force Base as a civil servant.
He married Tona Ririe on June 30, 1976, and from this marriage came two children, Jeff and Ashlee.
His hobbies include going fishing, working in his yard to keep it the best cared for in the neighborhood, tending to his doves and pigeons, doing his word searches, crossword puzzles, watching sports, going on family trips, and whatever he volunteered for during his wife’s time working for Ogden City.
The only bit of comfort for Ashlee at this heartbreaking and devastating time is knowing that he is reunited with his beloved wife Tona whom he loved and missed so much and isn’t suffering anymore.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Ashlee; his sisters, Chris (Chris), Marsha and Lisa (Steve); five grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by beloved wife, Tona; his son, Jeff; his parents; one sister, Kathleen; one brother, Hugh; one nephew, Nolan; and his cat, Baby.
Per Mike’s wishes there won’t be a service.
