Linda Louise Burt

01/30/1947-09/05/2025
It is with deep love and tender hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda Louise Burt. Linda returned peacefully to her Heavenly Home, surrounded by the love of her eternal companion and family.
She is survived by her eternal husband, Garth Chlarson Burt, and her children: Claine Burt (Carrie Burt), Cija Ebeling (Richard Ebeling), Cleve Burt (Karlene Burt), Chase Burt (Klarissa Hall), Carlee Pursell (Paul Pursell), Clinton Burt (Angelica Palacios), and Clifton Burt. Linda also leaves behind many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, each of whom will carry her legacy of love and kindness forward.
Linda’s life was one of service, compassion, and unwavering devotion to others. To know her was to feel seen, welcomed, and loved. No one stayed a stranger in her presence for very long–she had a way of finding those who felt out of place and drawing them close with warmth and understanding.
A dedicated and hardworking mother, Linda gave her all to ensure her children’s needs were met, especially during the many times when Garth was serving overseas in the military. Even when her children–ever clever in finding buttons to push–wore her down, she rarely complained. Instead, she taught them to look for the good in others, to stay strong in faith, and to face life with resilience and humor.
Her quirky sense of humor and playful spirit often lifted others, bringing laughter in the midst of challenges. She was happiest when outside, working with her hands and keeping active, or when surrounded by her family, who meant everything to her.
Linda lived by simple but profound truths she hoped to pass on to all she loved: “What comes around, goes around. Don’t do anything halfway. We can’t read other people’s minds. Be kind to others. Be positive in your thinking. Where there’s a will, there’s a way. And never forget, the gospel is very important.”
Linda’s life was a testimony of faith, perseverance, and unconditional love. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered in the laughter, kindness, and goodness she sowed in the lives of so many.
