Jack Wray Harbert passed away peacefully Thursday, September 18th at The Lodge in North Ogden; his son John was with him.

Jack was born on May 16, 1930, in Indianapolis, Indiana. His early years were spent in Shelbyville, Indiana. Jack’s family moved from Indiana to California then on to Pueblo, Colorado where he finished high school.

Shortly after arriving in Colorado, Jack met his neighbor and classmate, Betty, who became his sweetheart and eventually his wife. They were married for 74 years until Betty’s passing in 2021.

Jack is survived by his son John (Angie), grandchildren (Nicholas and Chelsea [Lonn]), great-grand child (Sage), brothers Jim (Marianna), Charles (Kay), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob (Kathy), and son David (Mark).

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Leavitt’s Mortuary in Ogden, Utah; services will be announced at a later date.

The family would like to thank the staff at The Lodge for their care and support. Special thanks to his hospice team at A-Plus Healthcare at Home (Shalee and McKenna) for their exceptional assistance in his final months.
