Sherry “Cherry” Jensen
Sherry “Cherry” Jensen March 8, 1943 — April 1, 2026 Sherry “Cherry” Jensen, age 83, passed away on April 1, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on March 8, 1943, in Ogden, Utah, to Chase and Buellah Brian. Sherry married the love of her life, Delbert Jensen, on May 4, 1960, and together they were blessed with four beautiful children. She devoted her life to her family, helping shape generations through her love, strength, and unwavering presence. Sherry was a true survivor. Throughout her life, she faced many health challenges and personal losses, yet she met them with remarkable strength and resilience, always remaining a steady source of love and care for those around her. She had a heart big enough for anyone who needed it. Sherry took in foster children, especially troubled teenagers, and helped raise several of her grandchildren. She wasn’t just a grandma to her family–she was everyone’s grandma. Sherry made friends wherever she went and had a natural way of making people feel welcome and cared for. She was outgoing, stylish, and always making friends wherever she went. She found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life–shopping for clothes (especially anything purple), playing cards with friends, and going to the local coffee shop. She created lifelong memories with her family, from loading up carloads of grandkids (and their friends) for trips to Lagoon, to adventures in Yellowstone and Jackson Hole. She especially loved driving the mountains at night looking for wildlife–something her family swore she had a special gift for. Above all, Sherry loved her family more than anything and made everyone feel seen, loved, and cared for. Her legacy of love and strength will live on through all who knew her. She is lovingly survived by her sons, Ken (Deanne) Jensen and Mike (Anna) Jensen; her son-in-law, Shayne Hipwelland; along with 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandaughter, and her brother, Danny Brian. She is preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Jensen; her daughters, Debbie Jensen and Shelly Hipwell; her grandsons, Michael Chase Jensen, Kelly Shelman, and Anthony Kuni; her great-grandson, Skylor Orawiec; and her parents, Chase and Buellah Brian; and her brother, Frank Brain. The family would like to thank Canyon Home Care and Hospice and her aid Alanta for their love and support.
