Gayleen Avon Wiseman, born Gayleen Avon Ketchum, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2026, at 8:55 p.m., surrounded by her loved ones. She was 64 years old.

Born on July 23, 1961, in Ogden, Utah, Gayleen was the daughter of Charmaine Ketchum and Gaylen J. Ketchum. From a young age, she was full of energy, spirit, and determination. Her family fondly remembers her doing cartwheels and back handsprings wherever she went, even through the grocery store, always keeping everyone on their toes.

Gayleen was feisty, strong, and full of life. She made friends wherever she went and was known for her kindness, generosity, and the way she opened her heart and home to others in need. She was always willing to help, often giving people a place to stay and supporting them until they could get back on their feet. Above all, she was devoted to her family and always remained authentically herself.

One of Gayleen’s favorite things was spending time with her family, especially watching The Golden Girls together. Those simple moments brought laughter, comfort, and memories that will be treasured by her loved ones for years to come.

Gayleen fought hard until the very end, showing the same strength and spirit that defined her throughout her life.

She is survived by her mother, Charmaine Ketchum; her sister, Rhonda Hammond; her brother, Kirk Ketchum; her children, Jeremy Wiseman and Shyanne Barrera; and her grandchildren, Sadie Wiseman and Novalee Perine.

She was preceded in death by her father, Gaylen J. Ketchum, and her daughter, Tiffany Wiseman.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary in Ogden, Utah.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.

Gayleen will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her strength, her kindness, and the love she gave so freely.
