Doyle Alvin Kerbs, 69, passed away peacefully in his sleep on April 26, 2026, at his home in Clearfield, Utah.

He was born September 1, 1956, in Ogden, Utah, to Danny Alvin and Carma Ruth Jones Kerbs and was raised in Roy, Utah. He graduated from Roy High School.

Doyle worked for Matco Tools and later for the IRS, where he retired after 25 years as a machine operator. He married Annette Checketts in February of 1981. Doyle became a bonus father to three children, and they had two children together, then later divorced. He married Kathleen Cazier Hodges on July 20, 2000, and together they blended their families.

He enjoyed old country music, camping, hunting, fishing, coin-collecting, and watching the Steelers and Utah Jazz. He especially loved spending time with family and friends.

Doyle is survived by his wife; his mother; his children, Kenneth (Melanie) Kerbs and Shauna (Kyle) Greer; bonus children, Shane (Brandon) Cook, Wendi (Tony) Purdum, Anjanette (Darrell) Reese, Rebecca Higley, Katie (Mark) Bradshaw, and Haylee Maestas; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father; siblings, Rickey Kerbs, Daylene Kerbs, and Laretta Kerbs; his bonus daughter, Allison Hodges; and grandson, Kyle Doyle Purdum.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. Friends may visit with family on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Hooper City Cemetery.
