Megan Shelley, 27, of Layton, Utah passed away unexpectedly from complications of a mental health crisis on August 20, 2026. Megan was born on December 19, 1998 in Ogden, Utah to Lance Palmer and Elizabeth Shupe. Megan married the love of her life, Jason Tanner Shelley on May 3, 2021. Megan was a very intelligent, motivated and beautiful woman. She graduated from Weber High School. She worked tirelessly on her education and she got her Associates and Bachelor’s degrees in Nursing. She graduated with an R.N. degree. She put herself through college. She absolutely loved taking care of the kids at Primary Children’s Hospital where she has worked for the past few years. Megan had an enormous personality and enjoyed getting her way. She enjoyed kayaking and fishing with her husband.She also enjoyed hiking, scrapbooking and other exciting projects with her family. She loved her family. She loved their dogs. She loved looking her best. She loved getting her hair and nails done by her mom. Her favorite color was purple. And she absolutely loved wearing blingy things, especially her beautiful wedding ring her loving husband gave her. Megan will be greatly missed by everyone who loved and knew her. She is survived by her husband Jason Tanner Shelley. Her parents, Elizabeth Brunker and Lance Palmer. Her step-father, Troy Brunker. Her siblings, Emily Palmer, Alyssa Palmer, Tyson Palmer. Grandparents, Tom and Sandie Shupe and Rex and Gail Palmer. Her mother and father-in law, Brian and Tammy Shelley. Her brothers and sisters in law, Johnathan Shelly (Angela), Brandan Shelley (Emily), Rebbecca Shelley and Sarah Toese (KC). Nephews, Hayden and Maddex Shelley and Oliver and Barry Toese. Also survived by numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. There will be a Celebration of Life at 3:00 p.m. at the Eden White LDS Church, 2900 N HWY 162, Eden, Utah.
