Kent Wessman Clawson, 74, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Roy, Utah, after a courageous 22-year battle with cancer and kidney failure.

Born on July 11, 1951, in Ogden, Utah, Kent was raised with values grounded in hard work and community. He graduated from Weber High School in 1969 and later returned to college earning degrees in Computer Science and Electronics Engineering.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Mortensen Clawson; children Chad (Lisa) Clawson, Carrie (Robert) Bateman, Kelly (Brad) Paxton, Kevin (Michelle) Clawson, Cody (Kelsi) Clawson, and Kyle (Dez) Clawson; 15 grandchildren; six bonus children and nine bonus grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Lois Clawson, and his sister, Joy Tolman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2026, at the Roy Utah Stake Center, 4900 South 2000 West in Roy.
