Sheri Monson
Sheri Monson, born on March 26, 1949, in Brigham City, Utah, was a beacon of compassion, support, and empathy, whose thoughtful spirit touched the lives of all those she encountered. Resilient and creative, Sheri’s life was a testament to her tenacity and determination. She put herself through cosmetology school while raising her son as a single mother, a feat that speaks volumes about her strength and dedication. Her passion for her craft led her to open Sheri’s Hair Connection, a successful hair salon she proudly ran for 30 years, delivering joy and confidence to her many clients through her hair styling skills.
Sheri lived in Taylor, Utah, for 32 years, but her journey took her through Layton, Syracuse, and Hooper before she found her home in Taylor. Regardless of her location, Sheri brought her love for crafts and photography along with her, capturing the beauty of her surroundings and creating memories that her family will treasure forever. Above all, Sheri cherished her family. She was a loving and devoted wife to her husband, Roy Monson, whom she married on June 3, 1990, and a proud mother to her son, Christian Johnson. The light of her life was her grandchildren, Mason and Paige, who brought endless joy and love to her world. Sheri is survived by her husband, Roy, her son, Christian, and her brother, Frank Dee Mastronardi. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Lavell Mastronardi, her brother, Gary Mastronardi, and her sisters, Kay Brown and Suzette Steed. A graveside service to celebrate Sheri’s remarkable life will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the West Warren Cemetery, located at 750 North 6700 West, Ogden, Utah, 84404. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Aspen Ridge Home Health and Hospice, her nurse Ashlee, her nurses aide (Polish angel) Marzena, her sister-in-law Maxine, and niece Tina for the love and care they provided in her final months.
