Yoshio Aoki, age 76, of Ogden, Utah, passed away peacefully at his home on February 15, 2026 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous 2 1/2-year battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born August 5, 1949, in Sapporo, Japan, to Yuko Yoshitaka Aoki and “George” Yoshiro Aoki. He immigrated with his parents & younger brother, Minoru, to Ogden, UT in February, 1953.

Yoshio was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He spent the majority of his career in the oil field, holding various positions including mechanic, driller, mud engineer, and later a lab technician for Chevron Oil at several refineries across the country.

He found joy in traveling the world, staying in touch with friends while making new ones along the way, golfing, and, most of all, spending time with his “boys”. Known for his kindness, joyful spirit, and deep friendships, Yoshio touched the lives of many. He didn’t worry about adding years to his life but rather, he added life to his years.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in his honor.
