Betty Mae Adams
Betty Mae Adams, 91, of Henefer, Utah, passed peacefully on February 20, 2026.
Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on November 27, 1934, to A. Paul Knowlden and Mae E. Butcher. She Married Duane G. Adams on Nov. 2, 1951 and was sealed in the Temple on July 7, 1953. Together they had four children: Duane Jr., Sherrie, Brian and Sharlene.
Betty lived a life filled with joy, creativity, and resilience. She lived in Ogden over 40 years and in Henefer for the past 25. She cherished many lasting friendships with her neighbors, coworkers and Pinochle gals.
Talented and creative, Betty enjoyed hobbies such as cake decorating, crocheting, ceramics and sewing. She worked at IRS as a Computer Operations Manager, retiring after 35 years. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Despite her many accomplishments and diverse interests, what mattered most to Betty was her family. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother and wife, as well as a steadfast friend.
Betty is survived by two of her children, Brian (JoDee) Adams and Sharlene (Kirt) Mockli, son-in-law, Ron Labrum and daughter-in-law, Jan Adams; 15 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters Karen (Bill) Woods and Dianne (Fred) Moore and Barbara Butcher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Adams; two children, Sherrie Labrum and Duane Jr. as well as her parents.
Family will be available to visit at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Myers Mortuary in Ogden, 845 Washington Boulevard. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am.
