Donald Ray Glover

Jan 22, 2026

Donald Ray Glover passed away on Monday, January 19th, 2026. He was born in Pocatello, Idaho, to Reid & Bette Glover and was raised alongside his siblings Christi Jones (Rick), Patti Mercado (Roy), Darrell Glover (Sue), and Dennis Glover (Tammy).

Don was raised in Ogden, Utah, and graduated from Weber High School and Weber State College with a BA in Theater and a BS in Criminal Justice. Don went on to proudly serve in the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Armed Forces. Don wore many hats in his career, but the ones he loved most were working at the U.S. Postal Service and teaching high school students in theater, woodshop, and autoshop in Rawlins, Wyoming.

Outside of his career, Don lived life to the fullest. He loved his “ride-or-die” wife of 28 years and he loved his family. He loved music and would often blast Jimmy Buffett, The Beatles, and The Grateful Dead in the car for everyone to sing along to. Don loved to travel the world. His favorite places to be were on the beach in Hawaii, camping in the mountains, and fishing in Alaska. He had a passion for renovating his home, always improving and transforming his world into art for everyone to see. You would often find Don relaxing with a good newspaper, cheering on his favorite sports teams with family, and cracking the occasional inappropriate joke with a cheeky grin.

Don was passionate about his faith and his community, never missing an opportunity to help someone in need. He held many callings as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, working with the young men of his ward and teaching various primary classes (his favorite calling). The people lucky enough to know him always knew that he was in their corner.

Don is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Cathrine Glover, and his children: Randee Higgins (Jesse), Zach Glover (Stacie), Lindsy Burningham (Derin), Jeff Beatty (Kimberly), Patrick Beatty (Natalie), and Meghan Beatty (Jace).

He is honored by his grandchildren: Olivia, Zeke, Myles, and Sam Higgins, Austin (Morgan) and Kaycie Glover (Tanner), Bronson, Shaylee, Hunter (Madi), Ty, Hadley, Jayden, Colby, Dalin, Embree, Jace, Jazzi, Kate, Kinleigh and Paityn Burningham, Henry, James, and Phillip Beatty, Franklyn Beatty, and Finn Einfeldt. He is also honored by his great-grandchildren: Sage and Jude Budora, Whittney and Collin Glover, and Mesa Towell.

Viewing will be held Saturday, January 24, 2026 at 9:30 – 10: 30 a.m. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. at the LDS Church 415 Westridge Drive St George, UT.
