Kikue (Kik) Aoki Takahashi

Kikue (Kik) Aoki Takahashi passed away on January 24, 2026. She was born on November 6, 1929, in Honeyville, Utah, the youngest child and only daughter to Riichi and Kumano Akagi Aoki. Kikue graduated from Box Elder High School in 1948 and received her associate’s degree from Weber State College. After graduating from Weber State, she attended sewing school in Los Angeles, California.

On March 1, 1952, Kikue married Frank Takahashi in Honeyville, Utah. They resided in Tremonton & Willard, Utah, before settling in Uintah, Utah, where they have been residing since 1957.

Kikue worked 20 years at RJ Wight Turkey Farm in Uintah, then briefly worked at Cutter Labs before retiring from Iomega in 1998.

Kikue was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved gardening and generously shared her harvest. She enjoyed crocheting many afghans and later in life many scrubbies for others. She also enjoyed traveling with Frank throughout the western states to various Chicken Shows and State Fairs. For many years after retirement, she worked side by side with Frank overseeing the Poultry division at the Weber County Fair and the Utah State Fair.

Kikue is survived by her husband, Frank Takahashi; her children: Gary (Colette) Takahashi, Mitzie (Dennis) Yamashita, and Janet Takahashi; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers: Horace, Frank, David, Leo, and Kiyoshi and a grandson, Frank T. Yamashita.

Friends may visit with family at a viewing on Thursday, January 29, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S 1900 W, Roy, UT. An additional viewing will be on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 9:30am to 10:30am at the Uintah LDS Church, 6660 S 1775 E, Uintah, UT followed by the funeral service at 11am. Interment at Uintah City Cemetery.
