Rulon Joseph Black
Rulon Joseph Black, 77, passed away peacefully at his home in Ogden, Utah, on January 22, 2026.
Born March 20, 1948, in Ogden to Ellis and Lena Delcomte Black, Rulon graduated from Ogden High School and attended Weber State University. He dedicated 38 years of service to Hill Air Force Base, retiring in 2006.
Rulon was recognized for his handlebar mustache, colorful Hawaiian shirts, and sharp, sarcastic sense of humor. He enjoyed motorcycles, cars, music, movies, and car and motorcycle television shows, with Bob Dylan among his favorites. He valued lifelong friendships and cherished time with his nieces and nephews, especially during the holidays.
Rulon is survived by his brother, Lee Black, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and seven sisters.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Warren-West Warren Cemetery.
