Patricia Tavenner

Patricia Tavenner, fondly known as Pat, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026,. Born Patricia Ann Kelly on June 18, 1946, in Coalville, UT. Patricia married her eternal companion, Larry Tavenner, on October 15, 1971, and together they built a life rooted in love, faith, and dedication.
Patricia was a compassionate soul, her unwavering dedication to her family and faith being the cornerstone of her life. She was a retired Tax Examiner from the I.R.S., who loved crocheting, reading mystery novels, and spending quality time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Patricia’s supportive nature was a beacon of comfort for her loved ones, her arms always open for those in need. She was a woman of great faith, a member of the Bonneville Shoreline Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and her strong testimony of the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ, was a shining example for all.
Patricia’s devotion extended beyond her family to her community as well. She was a long-standing Primary teacher and served a service mission with Larry at the Monroe Branch at Fellowship Manor. Patricia also served as a young women’s leader and camp counselor, impacting many lives with her loving and compassionate nature. Her hobbies were a reflection of her loving personality, and what mattered most to Patricia was her family. Her dedication and love for her family were unparalleled, her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren being her world.
Patricia is survived by her husband, Larry Tavenner; her son, Thad Blanch; her daughters, Sharalyn (Scott) Averett, Jolene (Kris) Reader, Marcella Zamora and Susan Wilson. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Craig (Carol) Kelly and Randy (Terri) Kelly. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Nadene Kelly and a daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Blanch.
The viewing will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Boulevard, Ogden, Utah, 84404. Pat’s Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. on Monday at the mortuary.
