Jul 7, 2026

June 10, 1943 — July 3, 2026

Jeane Rogers Taylor died on July 3, 2026, at Spring Gardens Senior Living in North Ogden, Utah following a struggle with Alzheimer’s. She was born June 10, 1943, in Ogden, Utah to Lyle and Bernyce Child Rogers. She grew up in Roy.

On April 7, 1962, Jeane married the love of her life David Josiah Taylor. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on December 13, 1977.

She was employed for a few years at HAFB, enjoyed being a full-time mother, and in later years was employed as Secretary for Weber Training Center for the Handicapped. She retired from Weber School District in 2005 as Secretary for Canyon View School.

She was active in Scouting, PTA, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, and Daughters of the American Revolution. She volunteered at Christmas Box House, served as an RSVP reading mentor, served as a missionary for the Institute of Religion for Adapted Needs, and served in the Ogden Temple. She received the Silver Beaver award for her scouting service. She loved living in Ogden and enjoyed symphonies, art galleries, playing African drums with friends, and watching birds with Wasatch Audubon friends.

Her fondest memories were made at frequent visits to Yellowstone, Lake Powell, and Arches. She celebrated each day and knew that every day was a gift.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints and served in many callings which gave her much joy. Her favorites were Primary Teacher, Visiting Teacher, and Den Mother. She had a testimony of her Savior and believed that “friends and family are forever”. Her friends were very important to her, and she wished to leave them this message: “I love each and every one of you and thank you for all your love and fun over the years”.

Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Keri Taylor; grandchildren, Alyssa (Derek) Craven, Rebecca (Justin) Phillips, Joshua (Breanna) Taylor, Cassidy (Carter) Jennings, and Sandy Taylor; and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are her sister, Edee (Chris) Walker; brother-in-law, John Lyon; sister-in-law, Patty Taylor; and nieces/nephews and their families that were a big part of her life.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dave; her greatly-missed son, Paul; her grandson, Jordan; her father and mother; and her siblings, Katey, Mary, Susan, and Richard.
