Ronald Owen Hartley
May 13, 1943 — July 3, 2026
Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, Ron Hartley, 83, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at his home. He was the son of Owen Roy Hartley and Elna Pinkham Hartley Braithwaite, and his stepdad Neil Braithwaite. Ron born on May 13, 1943, in Clinton, Utah. He grew up in Ogden. Ronald loved sports and played football, basketball, baseball, and any other sports during his school years. He is a graduate of Ben Lomond High School.
Ronald married Lois Croft on October 11, 2003.
He worked for years in the auto parts industry.
Ronald enjoyed bowling, golfing, and playing pool. He especially enjoyed racing his car he built “Willy doo”.
Ronald is survived by his loving wife, Lois; children, Kimberley (Dave) Rustad, John Cody Croft, and Julie Croft (Walt) Bigelow; two beloved grandchildren, Keeley and Bodee Best; brother, Leon Hartley; and sister, Janiel Heywood. He was preceded in death by his two infant children, Jana Hartley and Ryan Hartley; parents; and brother, Dale Hartley.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Plain City Cemetery. Friends may visit with family on Tuesday from 9 to 10:20 a.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary, 2140 N. Washington Blvd.
