Michael was an adventurous, kind, and supportive man with a strong work ethic. He enjoyed spending time with family and sharing stories of his life experiences. Mike was born in Ogden, UT and at a young age moved to Brigham City, then on to Price, UT where he graduated from Carbon High School and attended College of Eastern Utah. Throughout his life he also resided in San Francisco, CA, Salt Lake City, Roy, UT and finally settling in Clinton, UT.

Mike was the elder brother of our close and supportive family who gathers frequently for birthdays and holidays. His absence will be deeply felt but will be replaced with love and sacred remembrance. Although we are relieved he is no longer suffering the painful effects of cancer, we so wish he was still with us to share his stories, positive personality, quick wit and love.

Michael was preceded in death by his father, Dennis Vail; his mother, Evelyn Hatch Vail; and his nephews, Ivan and Zachary.

He is survived by his brothers, Gino, Adam, and Daniel; and his sisters, Denise, Christina, and Angela (Steven).

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 205 S. 100 E., Brigham City, UT. A viewing will be held prior to the funeral service on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 12:00-12:45 p.m., at the same location. Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery.
