He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Lavon Gallacher Hess and Theron Parker Hess; his brother, Michael K. Hess; and his son, Christopher Lee Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Ann Hess-Lindquist; his brother, Randy Hess; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Those who knew Rick will remember his generous heart, thoughtful nature, and the pride he took in being “Grampy.” His memory will be treasured by all whose lives he touched.
