Cleo was an amazing woman who touched the minds, hearts, and souls of every single person she encountered on her long journey of life. She was nothing but the utmost strong, loving, kind, thoughtful, giving, wise, and the most beautiful a person can be, both on the outside and especially within. She cared more about others than she did herself. She was selfless and a caregiver at heart. This was obviously apparent by her service to others, such as being a crossing guard and caregiver. She was a brave, courageous warrior who feared nothing but the Lord. What made Cleo so special was her positive attitude, her smile, and her laugh. No matter how your day was going, Cleo could always put a smile on your face too. She was selfless in every way. Cleo will be missed by her many friends she made in St. George through activities, events, and golf. She was always up for a good round of golf. She was a joy to be around and loved a good laugh. She loved helping people through her Senior Care and working with children. Her laughter and friendship will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing Cleo. Those who truly knew her knew she was a deeply caring woman who cherished every moment spent with family, and especially with her grandchildren.

Maybe one of the best aspects of Cleo was her ability to tell a story. She was one of the best storytellers you would ever meet. The way she would tell stories was so immersive. It was magical; she made you feel as if you were really there, no matter how many times she told the story. We’ll leave you off with one of Cleo’s favorite quotes whenever she needed to put something somewhere, and she didn’t have any room: “What do you want me to do with it? Put it on my head?” (Cleo).

Cleo is survived by her children, Mary Elaine Cortland, Michelle Folsom, Jerome Miner; her grandchildren, Mary Amber Cortland, Taylor Folsom, Zachary Miner, Ryan Folsom, Ashley Weber; and her siblings, Jerry Sandoval, Joe D. Sandoval, Beatrice Gallegos, Richard Sandoval, Oliver Sandoval, and Sandra Rodarte. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sarah Sandoval.
