March 29, 1947 ~ July 23, 2026

Mary Ann Hall Miller passed away peacefully Thursday, July 23, 2026, at her home in Ogden, Utah.

She was born March 29, 1947 in Perry, Oklahoma, daughter of Ora Richard “Dick” Hall, Jr. and Edna Ione Hall.

She was raised in Santa Fe and Roswell, New Mexico, and as a young girl developed a cherished love of horses which she maintained throughout her life. She graduated from Roswell High School and received a degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy.

Mary Ann worked as a pharmacist for several years before joining her family’s business, Elliott-Hall Company, where she served as a partner for many years.

Mary Ann had a quick wit and a wry sense of humor. She began each day with a keen sense of optimism and joy and managed to bring a smile to all around her.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Elizabeth June Hall Fry of Pleasant View, Utah and Patricia Ione Hall Weckel of Aledo, Texas; brother, Lawrence Jackson Hall of Austin, Texas. She is survived by her brother, George (Mary) Elliott Hall of Ogden, Utah; her children Kara Shea (Kurt) Abbas of San Tan Valley, Arizona and Clayton Elliott McFall of Ogden, Utah; stepson, Michael J. Miller of South Jordan, Utah. Also surviving her are grandchildren, Katrina Sue Abbas and Kyle Leon Abbas.

The family gratefully acknowledges the tremendous care and companionship provided by so many friends within her horse community over many decades, neighbors within her Treeo community, and especially that of dear friend Cindi Mansell.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Lindquist Community Room, 3434 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, Mary Ann’s family suggests memorial contributions to the Weber State University Yellowstone Field Station (give.weber.edu/fieldstation), to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to a charity of your choice.
