Jacqueline Yoder Magee

Jun 8, 2026

It is with profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jacqueline Yoder Magee. She returned to her Father in Heaven, and rejoined her beloved husband Thomas on June 3rd, 2026. Lovingly known by her grandchildren as Grandma J. Born on February 10, 1947, in Tremonton, UT, Jacqueline was a beacon of love and faith, with a heart that radiated kindness and compassion. Her life was a testament to the scripture from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, “Charity never faileth” (1 Corinthians 13:8), a verse that guided her throughout her 79 years.

Jacqueline’s journey began in Tremonton UT. She remained in the area for the majority of her early life. She graduated from Bear River High School, and eventually moved to Ogden to attend Weber State University where she earned her associates degree. On July 4, 1966, she met the love of her life Thomas W. Magee Sr. They were married and sealed in the Logan Temple on February 2, 1967. They eventually settled down in Clearfield in 1973 where they shared 59 years of marriage, filled with a love of Jesus Christ and their family. As an accountant at the IRS, Jacqueline was known for her meticulous nature and strong work ethic. Her career, however, did not define her. Her true passion lay in her faith, her family, and her hobbies. From leading music in the church and playing the piano to sewing and collecting dolls, Jacqueline’s life was rich and full. She had an unending love for mystery books and an unparalleled joy in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Jacqueline was a pillar of faith in the LDS Church. She served in many roles, including Young Women’s President and member of the Primary Presidency. Her service extended beyond the church, into the local Care Center for the elderly, providing comfort and companionship to those in need. She was a familiar face in sacrament meetings, often leading the music or playing the organ. Her faith was an integral part of her, a guiding light that shone brightly in all her actions. Jacqueline is survived by her sons, Thomas Jr., Travis, and Trever, her brothers, Ray and Paul Yoder, and 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Yoder, mother, Ruby Fredrickson, husband, Thomas Magee, and brother, Dennis Yoder.

Family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Jacqueline are invited to the Myers Mortuary – Roy, 5865 S. 1900 W., Roy, Utah on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM, to reminisce, grieve and support each other.
