Jerry was born July 13, 1945, in Lehi, Utah, to Wesley and Bernice Rasmussen. He was the 6th of 9 children. Jerry was raised in Lehi and graduated from Lehi High School in 1963, where he met his sweetheart, Vicki Evans. They were married on December 16, 1966, in the Salt Lake City Temple after his mission in Texas for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jerry also served his country in the National Guard.

After their marriage, Jerry and Vicki continued their education at Utah State University, where Jerry received a degree in civil engineering and Vicki in teaching; after which they moved to Brigham City to raise their family.

Jerry worked as a Civil Engineer and retired from Amcor Precast in 2012. In retirement, he served in the Brigham City Temple with Vicki and spent time with family and friends. His family always came first.

Jerry is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vicki; daughters Pamela (Craig) McKinnon of Plain City, Marci Hatch of Brigham City, Leisha Rasmussen (Mark Poelman) of Pleasant View; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and six siblings. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 26, 11:00 am, at the Brigham City State Center, 650 Anderson Drive.

Viewings will be held on Thursday, June 25, 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Gillies Mortuary in Brigham City and on Friday, June 26, 9:30 – 10:30 at the Brigham City State Center prior to the funeral services.

Interment will be at the Brigham City Cemetery following the services.
