Doyle Spackman Andrew

Doyle Spackman Andrew, 86, of North Ogden, Utah, passed away at Spring Gardens on March 12th, 2026. He was born November 10th, 1939, in Logan, Utah, the son of Donald LeRoy and Dorothy Spackman Andrew.

He was reared in Cache Valley, living in a rural farming area, Trenton, where he attended Trenton Elementary School, and graduated from North Cache High School. He continued his education at the College of Eastern, Price, Utah (Carbon) and received his BS degree in Education at Utah State University. He married Flora Marzell Burke on June 30th, 1967, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Doyle was active in sports during his schooling until physical abilities no longer permitted the activity. He was an active member in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he received numerous awards according to his callings servicing the priesthood, Sunday school, home teaching, and family history. His passion to do family history was very rewarding for research for names in doing temple ordinance work.

Doyle worked for the Weber School District where he taught at the elementary level for 36 years along with being the North Ogden City Recreational Director. He loved working with the youth where he had the opportunity to impact the lives of many who were in the program. He especially enjoyed his family and being outside tilling the garden’s soil.

Survivors include his 5 children: Charee Nishijima, Roy, Utah; Ryan D. Andrew (Allison), Utah; Jodi Lee Andrew, Utah; Mandy Marsden, Utah; and Tauni (Derek) Rhoades, Utah; grandchildren: Damien Nishijima, Ashton Sollis, Jett Sollis, Brock Andrew, Beau Andrew, Alexandrea Herrera, Oakley Mumford, Mylie Marsden, Matthew Marsden, Mason Marsden, Lydia Rhoades, Sophie Rhoades, and Stratton Rhoades; great grandchildren Jordie Jett and Kayson Christiansen.

Also surviving are his 5 brothers and 3 sisters: Neil John (Dixie) Andrew, Ohio; Allan (Jane) Andrew, Idaho; Roger Andrew, Idaho, Clair (Sheryl) Andrew, Arizona; Nada Jean (DeWayne) Mickelsen, Washington; Trudy (David) Scott, Idaho; Tess (Michael) Mitchell, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Flora; parents, Donald LeRoy and Dorothy; along with his brothers, Hall Reed Andrew and Dee Andrew.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 7th, 2026, at 11 AM at the LDS North Ogden Coldwater Stake Center, 770 East 2100 North, North Ogden, Utah. A viewing will be held on Monday, April 6th, 2026, in the evening from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a church viewing 30 minutes prior to the services at the Stake Center.

Interment will be in Ben Lomond Cemetery, 526 East 2850 North, North Ogden, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the missionary fund, or the perpetual fund of the Church would be greatly appreciated.
